Anna Tremain, age 89, resident of Smiths Station, Alabama, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, November 30, 2019. Funeral services are scheduled at New Hope Revival Ministries, 3668 Lee Road 379, Smiths Station, Alabama on Friday, December 6, 2019, 11:30 a.m. with Reverend Steven Shelley officiating, according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama. Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 5-7 p.m.
Mrs. Tremain, daughter of the late William Earl West and Fronia Wheeler West, was born July 13, 1930 in Flint, Michigan. She was a homemaker and long time member of New Hope Revival Ministries. Mrs. Tremain loved the Lord with all her heart; loved to sing gospel music; enjoyed cooking for family and friends; and was always a gracious host when she entertained guests.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Leon Tremain; a sister, Mary Ruth Bohnsack; and two brothers, Earl Wayne West and Jack West.
She is survived by three daughters, Faith Strable and her husband C. Wayne of Demopolis, Alabama, Hope Risher and her husband Robert of Stockbridge, Georgia, and Joy Cassity and her husband Danny of Gallion, Alabama; two brothers, Donald Gene West and his wife Joan of Flint, Michigan and Gary West of Lake George, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Vicki Walker and her husband Richard, Chris Strable and his wife Brandy, Greg Strable and his wife Stephanie, John Risher and his wife Amanda, Rebecca Hale and her husband Jason, Jason Cassity and his wife Jennifer, Ryan Cassity and his wife Jennifer, and Rachel Cassity Wynne and her husband Tripp; 27 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; numerous other relatives and friends.
