Mrs. Walden was born on September 3, 1929 in Dothan, AL to the late John and Madie Howell. She was a charter member of Striplin Terrace United Methodist Church where she was also a faithful “STARS” member. Traveling was one of her favorite things to do, but spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was her passion.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Walden is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James Walden and son, Johnny “Mike” Walden.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Hamilton, Brenda Davis (Horton), and Linda Thomason (Richard); sister, Betty Jenkins (Pete); grandchildren, James Gibson (Kristi), Casey Thomason, Randi Edwards (Donnie), Anthony Davis (Alaina), and Ross Davis; great-grandchildren, Averi and Adisen Gibson, Hayley, Michael, and Noah Thomason, Ryleigh and Cambree Edwards, and Anabel Davis; special loving friends, Sandra Lee and George Windsor; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
