Sarah Louise Williams, 87, of Columbus, GA passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Thursday June 20, 2019 beginning at 12:00 PM with Rev. Bert Arnold officiating. The interment will conclude at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Sarah was born on April 22, 1932 in Douglas, GA to the late Ones and Eunice Carver. She retired from Fieldcrest Mills where she worked as a seamstress and textile worker. In addition to sewing, Sarah was gifted with the ability to cross stitch the most beautiful designs. She was an avid reader and a faithful member of Sunshine Acres Church of God of Prophecy. Camping, fishing, and boating reflected her enjoyment of the great outdoors, but her greatest joy came from family. This wonderful woman will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Other than her parents, Sarah is preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Williams, daughter, Ann Williams, son, Joseph Williams, three sisters, and four brothers.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynda Anderson (Creig Sands) of Columbus, Ga and Rebecca Timperley (Paula) of Columbus, NE; son, John Ronald Williams of Columbus, GA; sisters, Annie Benton (Gene) and Nadine Davis (Joe), both of Cairo, GA; brother, Jimmy Carver (Mary Alice) of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Mandette Loveless, Jennifer Kapheim, Ginger Williams, John Paul Anderson, Kelly Evans, Heather Anderson, Kaleigh Williams; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
