Agnes Jamieson Smith

Agnes Jamieson Smith, 93, of Columbus, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Magnolia Manor. Graveside services will be held at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus on Monday, August 1, 2022 beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mike Reeves officiating. Arrangements are being made through Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Columbus.

Agnes was born on January 31, 1929 in Headland, AL to John Alvin Taylor and Lettie Mae Snellgrove Taylor. She was employed at the Medical Center Center in Columbus where she retired as an Information Clerk. Agnes was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Other than her parents, Agnes is preceded in death by her first husband Gonnie L. Jamieson, second husband Ervine B. Smith, sisters Johnnie Mae Culpepper and Evelyn Wilkerson, and brothers Charles Taylor and Howard Taylor.

Survivors include her daughters Mary Stansell (Tommy) of Fortson, GA, Martha Ann McCrary of Fortson, GA, Betty Jean Fuller of Columbus, GA, and Brenda Kay Moskoyes of Columbus, GA; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and stepchildren Rose Thomas (Rick), Shirley Sokolowski (Joey), and Carl Smith.
