Alan Frances Lechowicz

SFC (Ret) Alan Frances Lechowicz, 76, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at his home in Phenix City, Alabama.

Funeral Services and interment will be held Monday, March 21, 2022, at 12:30 EST in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, AL.

SFC (Ret)Lechowicz was born on November 29, 1945, in Flushing, New York, the son of Frank and Alice Lechowicz. SFC (Ret) Lechowicz was a patriot. He loved his country and proudly served for over 20 years. Alan loved fishing, bingo, cooking and eating, but most of all he loved his family. He taught them by example to be a good person, love your family, and be a good partner in life. Alan will always be remembered for his caring heart, his playfulness, and loving spirit.

He is preceded in death by his adored wife of 33 years, Erna Lechowicz; father, Frank Lechowicz; mother, Alice Lechowicz; son Donald Lechowicz; two brothers, Donald Lechowicz, and Richard Lechowicz.

He is survived by three sons, Christopher (Marci) Lechowicz, Michael Lechowicz, Frank (Victoria) Lechowicz; two daughters, Natalie (Michael) Sanders, and Stephanie Lechowicz; brother, Ronald (Nancy) Lechowicz; grandchildren, Mikey, Kevin, Aaliyah, Layla, Aurora, Ava, Lyko, Landon, Lylah, Joseph, Pierce, Alana, and Brant; as well as several extended family and caring friends.
