Alquin “Al” Bernard Killingsworth, 87, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm EST on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Pastor Bud Rupel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday July 26th at the funeral home in Phenix City.
Mr. Killingsworth was born January 3, 1938, in Phenix City, AL, son of the late Benjamin Killingsworth and Lois Virginia Radney Killingsworth. He served as President of Phoenix Support Systems until his retirement. He was a Veteran of the United States Army National Guard serving our country with faith and honor. He was a man of great character with an attitude and spirit of hard work ethics and honesty. Mr. Killingsworth was a member of the Phenix City Rotary Club, and a leader, teaching Royal Rangers Christian values within the church. He loved anything to do with nature and the outdoors, always engaging in projects involving bulldozers or tractors on the family property. He took great pride in having earned his single pilot’s certification in a Piper Cub. He was a Christian and a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Killingsworth, Jr. and a son-in-law Chuck Griffith.
His is survived by the love of his life and beautiful bride of 68 years, Juvonda Loy Pickron Killingsworth of Phenix City, AL; his children, Elaine Killingsworth Zeigler and husband Keith of Athens, GA, Ronda Killingsworth Boswell and husband Jeff of Decatur, AL, Sherry Killingsworth Griffith of Phenix City, AL, and Andrew Bernard Killingsworth and wife Carolee of Phenix City, AL; sister, Mary Lindley of Phenix City, AL; brother, Donald Killingsworth and wife Viron of Visalia, CA; eight grandchildren, Joshua Zeigler (Kendal), Jeb Zeigler (Jenny), Meg Bell (Gus), Shanna Davis (Nick), Maci Wright (Matt), Cami Griffith (fiancé Kaleb Morales), Adam Benjamin Killingsworth (Meghan), and Caleb Drake Killingsworth; eight precious great-grandchildren, Josiah Zeigler, Samantha Bell, Opal Davis, Shepherd Davis, Charleigh Wright, Griff Wright, Ellee Killingsworth, and Drew Killingsworth; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many caring friends.
