Andrea Hearn Calhoun

Andrea Carter Hearn Calhoun, 80, of Pittsview, AL, passed away peacefully in her home on October 29, 2025. A memorial service will be held at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 1954 SR-165, Pittsview, AL 36871, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 pm EST, officiated by Rev. Wayne Scarborough. The family invites friends to gather for coffee and donuts before the service at 11:15-11:45 pm EST.

Andrea Calhoun was born in Columbus, GA, on December 20, 1944, to the late Cruger Hearn and Carmel Carter Hearn. Andrea was an avid reader and very sociable. If she wasn’t immersed in a good book, she was often planning parties and events, socializing while shopping, or playing bridge with her friends. She loved to attend church and participate in their events. Andrea loved to cook and always fed anyone she could. Even though she hated bugs, she loved the outdoors. She loved to sit on her porch enjoying nature and going on boat rides. She enjoyed traveling and lived life to the fullest with her late husband, John Wesley Calhoun, Jr. Most of all, Andrea loved her family. She cherished every memory and laugh she experienced with her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Other than her husband and parents, Andrea is preceded in death by her sister, Jo Wilkinson. She is survived by her sons, Brad Calhoun of Abbeville, AL, and John Wesley Calhoun III of Pittsview, AL; daughter, Hope Calhoun Johnson of Birmingham, AL; sisters, and grandchildren, Katie Calhoun Johnson and Caleb Carter Johnson (Darby).
