Antonio Jesus Reyez, Jr., age 68, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.  Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N/280, Phenix City, Alabama on Sunday, September 26, 2021, 2 p.m. (EST) with Reverend Mike Turner officiating.  Interment with military honors is scheduled at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Monday, September 27, 2021, 10:30 a.m. (EST). The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 1-2 p.m. (EST)

Mr. Reyes, son of Ramona Maddox and the late John Maddox, Sr. was born on June 3, 1953 in California.  He was a veteran of the military, serving his country honorably in the U.S. Army.  Mr. Reyez enjoyed spending quality time with his family, particularly his grandchildren.  He was a man who loved his country, a “True Patriot.”  Mr. Reyez enjoyed watching both college and NFL football; grilling out with the family; gardening; cooking (especially Mexican dishes); reminiscing with the family; and enjoyed Oldie music.  The family remembers him as a man who was a loving husband, Dad, and grandfather.

Mr. Reyez is survived by his wife of 31 years, Theresa Reyez of Phenix City; mother, Ramona Maddox of Modesto, CA; five daughters, Tammy Koepnick of McCallister, OK, Bernice Reyez of Modesto, CA, Denise Muller and her husband Jason of Phenix City, MiMi Reyez of Modesto, CA, and Bernadette Reyez, also of Modesto, CA; two sons, Dennis Koepnick of Carson City, NV and Antonio Reyez III of Modesto, CA; two sisters, Dora Maddox and Vikki Maddox, both of Modesto, CA; two brothers, John Maddox, Jr and his wife Rose of Fremont, CA and Reuben Reyez and his wife Theresa, also of Fremont, CA; nine grandchildren, Garrett, Jason Jr., Austin, Branden, Everett, Brittni, Jeffrey, Casarah, and Breanah; numerous great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
