Arthur Gerald Weems

Arthur Gerald Weems, 79, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at his residence.

Arthur was born on November 9, 1942 in Ft. Benning, GA to the late John Weems and Ellaree Money Weems. He proudly served our country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After retiring from the military, he worked as a machinist at Morton Machine. Arthur attended Seale Baptist Church and Kirkland Baptist Church.

Whether he was gardening, working in the yard, fishing, or simply sunbathing, there was no doubt that Arthur greatly enjoyed being outdoors. Above all, however, was his deep and sincere love for his family. Arthur was always dedicated to making sure that his family was taken care of and there was no doubt that each one of them had a very special place in his heart.

Other than his parents, Arthur is preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Ann Weems, son Gerald Wayne Weems. sister Charlotte Hall, and brother-in-law John Hall.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 11 years Eunice Harrison Weems; daughter Grace McManus of Panama City, FL; stepdaughter Whitney Hall of Leesburg, GA; son Arthur Mitchell Weems (Valerie) of Salem, AL; stepsons Scott Martin and Wendell Tillery (Keisha) both of Leesburg, GA; daughter-in-law Molly Weems; brother Travis Weems (Nora) of Columbus, GA; grandchildren Cody, Breanna, Makenna, Jonathan, Jessica, Madison, Grayson, Cody, Conley, Kristin, Jeremy, Patrick, Jessica, and Joey; great-grandchildren Brody, Camden, and Easton.
