Benjamin Williams Bone

Benjamin Williams Bone, 97, passed away in the comfort of his home on Wednesday March 6, 2024. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm EST on Sunday March 10, 2024, at Hilton Terrace Baptist Church 2236 Warm Springs Rd, Columbus, GA, with Pastor Sean Heggood officiating.
 
 Ben Bone was born on March 10, 1926, to the late Benjamin Washington Bone and Julia Mae Vickery Bone. He worked in HV/AC and plumbing, eventually owning his own company, Modern Plumbing and Heating, until his retirement. Ben was a long-time member and deacon at Hilton Terrace Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and fishing. 
 
 Ben will be remembered as a simple man. He was a hard worker, a dedicated husband, and a loving father. 
 
Aside from his parents, Ben was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Martha Kinser Bone; son in law Doug Dennis; and his three siblings, Floyd Bone, Margaret Bone and Flora Culpepper
 
Ben is survived by his daughters, Sharon Bone Dennis and Betsy Bone Candlin (Mike) of Columbus, Georgia; son Glenn Bone (Christine) of Waverly Hall, Georgia; grandchildren Kristi Watson Gibson (James), Tiffany Ann Bone, Michael Crooke, Kaylee Candlin Gibson (Matthew), Kinslee Candlin Younce (Peyton); and great-grandchildren Averi and Adisen Gibson, Colby Callahan, Autumn Crooke, Payton Crooke, and one more on the way, Vivee Kate Gibson. The family will accept visitors following the service.
