Mrs. Betty Cotton Schram

June 27, 1931 — February 16, 2022

Ms. Betty Cotton Schram, 90, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her residence while surrounded by her loving family.

The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Schram was born in Phenix City, Alabama, the daughter of the late S.B. Cotton, Sr. and Bertie Mae Parker Cotton. Ms. Betty lived in the Phenix City, AL area for most of her life. She was a homemaker all her life and cherished the opportunity to remain home and raise her children.  She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Phenix City, AL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Schram; two brothers Rev. S. B. Cotton, Jr. and Rev. Billy Joe Cotton and two sisters Joyce Harrelson and Pansy Cotton Savage.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Angela Thompson (Tim) of Opelika AL and Stacy Wall of Katy, TX; five grandchildren Ben Wall (Brooke), Reagan Wall, Ethan Wall, Todd Thompson and Emily Wall and one great granddaughter Finley Wall.

The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Food Bank of East Alabama.
