Brenda Lee LaMar Holman, 62, of Salem, AL passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday evening, January 8, 2026, for family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City. Her family plans to hold private Celebration of Life for Brenda in a very special place where she will always be loved, cherished, and never forgotten.
Brenda was born March 14, 1963, in Potosi, MO, daughter of the late John LaMar and Lois Rush LaMar. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who loved and adored her family. She had a creative gift in the ability to craft jewelry, and crochet. She enjoyed shopping, fishing, and traveling to the beach, but her great joy was sharing and spending quality time with her husband and all her family. She was a Christian by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wayne LaMar.
She is survived by her loving devoted husband, Richard Lum Holman of Salem, AL; two sons, Beau LaMar and wife Tasha of Smiths Station, AL, Robert LaMar of Salem, AL; step-son, Ronnie Holman of Salem, AL; four sisters, Joyce Miller and husband Frederick of Eureka, MO, JoeAnn Ridenour of Robertsville, MO, Neta Cummings of Ironton, MO, and Linda MayBerry and husband Dennis of Festus, MO; five brothers, Robert John LaMar of Potosi, MO, William Jessy LaMar of Salem, AL, Jack Lee LaMar of St. Louis, MO, and Steven LaMar of High Ridge, MO; three precious grandchildren, Lana LaMar, Elena LaMar, and Caleb Newell; her beloved pet dogs, Coca and Tiny; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
