Callie Elizabeth Parrish

It is with deep sadness and much love that the family of Callie Elizabeth Parrish (Lib) 96 announces that she went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM EST, on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 U.S. Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Randy Comer officiating. A private interment will be at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Our mother, grandmother, great and great, great grandmother, aunt, and friend will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Phyllis Edwards (Vern); three grandchildren: Vangel Spencer (Mark), Darin Edwards (Arletta) and Parrish Edwards; seven great grandchildren: Joshua Spencer, Jacob Taylor (Alexa) and Rachel Spencer, Laura Leigh Edwards, Gracie Edwards, Hudson and Brooks Edwards; one great great grandchild: Aiden Taylor.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, L.P. Parrish; parents Claude and Minnie Moseley; Brothers: Fred, Tom, Virgil and Joe Moseley; Sisters: Marjorie Applegate, Hazel Powell, Beatrice Reeves, Ammie Hornsby and Thelma Moseley.
Ms. Parrish was born in New Brockton, Alabama. Elizabeth was a proud member of River of Life Church in Phenix City, Al. She was a teacher and scholar of God’s word, a prayer warrior, and General in the Lord’s army. She immensely enjoyed being with her family, reading and watching game shows. She passed on her curiosity and love of learning to many of us.
Elizabeth loved people and her deep empathy for others was infused in every aspect of her life. She was a peacemaker and lover of lost souls. She left a legacy of ongoing love, encouragement, and care for others. The family wishes to extend a special thanks for the many prayers we’ve felt so richly during our loss.
