Carl Homer White. 78, of Phenix City, AL, passed away peacefully at Columbus Hospice House, Monday, September 6, 2013. A graveside memorial service is scheduled for Friday, September 13, 2013 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Vance-Brooks Funeral Home. Carl Homer White was born March 6, 1935 son of the late Carl White and Dolly Brewer White in, Caretta West Virginia. Other than his parents Carl is preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Survivors include FiancAC.e, Ellen Hovey, of Phenix City, AL. Carl was deeply loved and cared for by Ellen's seven children, thirteen grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Carl also leaves behind sister, Fay Jerry Scarbrough, of Columbus, GA; brother James White, of Columbus, GA; several nieces and nephews and caring friends.
