Carmen Aida Figueroa

Carmen Aida Figueroa, 82, of Columbus, GA passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at her residence.

Carmen was born on November 23, 1942 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to the late Miguel Figueroa and Ana Maria Velazquez. She was a woman who had a multitude of talents and lived her life being a blessing to those around her. Carmen enjoyed cooking, sewing and macrame. She had a “green thumb” which was quickly evident to anyone passed her house and saw her beautiful plants and lawn. A big smile would always light up her face when she heard music, and it was assured that dancing would soon follow. Carmen also had a knack for connecting with others. She worked alongside her husband in the restaurant business, sold Tupperware, and worked as a receptionist and administrator for Bayshore Luxury Waterfront Apartments in Tampa, FL. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society.

There was no doubt that Carmen absolutely adored each member of her family. From the oldest to the youngest, each one had a special place in her heart, especially all the grandkids. She was a true grandma! Her presence will always be felt, and the special memories of her will always be cherished.

Other than her parents, Carmen is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Marcial Rosado, sister Andrea Memoli and brother Miguel “Mike” Fig. Survivors include daughter Carmen Baez (Julio); sons David Rosado (Antonia) and Daniel Rosado (Anayansi Navarro); sisters Heidi Santiago and Migdalia Fig; grandchildren David Jr., Zulaika, Yadira, Daniel, Joshua, Carmen, Angela, Daliana, Adrianna and Annjeanette “Angie”; and 13 great-grandchildren.
