Carol Warner Luster

Mrs. Carol Warner Luster, 77, of Phenix City, AL passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at her home.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm EST Friday, May 24, 2024 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Minister Lee Snow officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:30 until 1:30 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL.  

Mrs. Luster was born February 11, 1947 in Trenton, MI, daughter of the late Glen Warner and Ruth Frederickson Warner.  She worked in the grocery industry at Publix for many years.   Mrs. Luster enjoyed yard work, sewing, knitting and baking.  She was an excellent cook and made most of the birthday cakes for the grandchildren.   Mrs. Luster also had a passion for caring for others.  She was a member of the Warm Springs Road Church of Christ.  Mrs. Luster had a sense of humor and a special laugh that will be missed by her family.

 Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Warner; sisters, Colleen Warner, Beatrice Moore, Geraldine DeWitt and Paulette Warner.

Mrs. Luster is survived by two sons, Larry Currington and wife Sarah of San Antonio, TX and Lennie Currington and wife Kathy of Phenix City, AL; a daughter, Sybil Little and husband Dewayne of Opp, AL; a brother, Robert Warner of Phenix City, AL ; two sisters, Jackie Mahaffey and husband Don and Glenda Mahoney, all of MI; grandchildren, Amber Ezzell (James), Damian Currington (Lacy), Megean Currington, Chelsea Currington, Birana Currington, Kyle Currington (Megan), Tommy Little and Juleanne Little; great-grandchildren, Matthew Currington, Aria Ezzell and Amyai Ezzell; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
