Cathy Lynn Prickett

Mrs. Cathy Lynn Mitchell Prickett, 62, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 at her home.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am EST Friday, September 12, 2025 at Epworth Methodist Church in Phenix City, AL. with Rev. Chris Herbert and Rev. Grant Parker officiating. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 am EST, one hour prior to the service, at the church.

Mrs. Prickett was born May 16, 1963 in Ft. Belvoir, VA, daughter of the late James C. Mitchell and Eva G. Harvey Mitchell. She worked as an administrative assistant in the legal field most of her career. Mrs. Prickett’s true passion was caring for her family. She devoted much of her time to the Special Olympics, where her daughter Callie participated in several events. Additionally, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Prickett enjoyed watching animals, especially birds. She also enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Prickett attended Epworth Methodist Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Weaver and a brother, James Patrick Mitchell

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Scott Prickett; a daughter, Callie Grace Prickett; a son, Will Prickett and wife Jennifer; two sisters, Donna Dickson and Paula Mitchell; one brother, Kenneth Mitchell and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Jackson and Mary Carlton; as well as several extended family and friends.
