Charles Roy Stringfield

Charles Roy Stringfield, 68, of Smiths Station, AL died at his residence, Sunday, January 05, 2020 surrounded by his family.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Thursday, January 9, 2020 with Rev. Ricky Ward officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM (EST) on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Stringfield was born August 3, 1951 in Knoxville, TN son of the late Vanius Stringfield and Delta Rose Stringfield.  He was a former employee of Advance Waste Disposal, was the owner/operator of Stringfield Small Engine Repair and a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church.  Mr. Stringfield was a simple man who enjoyed simple things in life. He was a family man and good friend.  He will be missed dearly, but always remembered.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Astrit June Hall Stringfield, Smiths Station, AL; son, V.W. Stringfield and wife Idella, NC; two grandchildren, Kaylon Stringfield and Alysia E. Nedlic and husband Richard; one great-grandchild, Nolanie; several cousins and friends also survive.
