Christian T. Luke

Christian T. Luke, 23, of Phenix City, AL, after a valiant fight against cancer, lost the battle on Monday, October 13, 2025, while surrounded by his loved ones at the University of Birmingham Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM (EST) at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. A private remembrance service will be held on Sunday, October 19th.

Christian was born April 30, 2002, in Palaski County, GA, son of Jessica Kelley Sloane. As a young man, he was a precocious learner and seeker of truth. His remarkable academic talents would see him obtain an Associates Degree in Applied Science - Welding from Chattahoochee Valley Community College prior to graduating from Central High School with honors. Throughout his life, Christian shared his intellectual gifts with a generous and welcoming spirit; hoping to bring people together through a shared sense of wonder about the world around us. His familiar mantra of “Did you know…” followed by fascinating facts and worldly observations became a shared inspirational reference across his large family.

A natural communicator, he truly never meet a stranger and connected his large circle of friends and relatives with his enthusiasm for life. His instincts to connect people eventually led him to pursue a career in music. Christian was an accomplished artist - having written, sang, and produced numerous songs across multiple genres from Hip Hop to Country. While his music varied in style, his enduring themes spoke of courage in the face of adversity, embracing life despite its challenges, and inspiring others to continue to fight and thrive. May his legacy live on in the music he created by helping others and bringing people together.

Christian was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Ray Kelley; paternal grandmothers, Karen Sue Luke and Pamela Sloane; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Lynette Lawrence; and his uncle, Robert Aaron Kelley.

Survivors include his parents, Jessica and Robert Sloane, Phenix City, AL; his sister, Charlotte Kelley; three brothers, Brent Adkison (Anabelle), Kyle Sloane (Sydney Armstrong) and Hunter Sloane; maternal grandmother, Glenda Kelley; great aunt Linda Rosen, great uncle and aunt, Lee and Barbara Lawrence; uncle and aunt, Colonel John and Terresa Kelley; nephew, Jiraiya Adkison as well as numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends.
