Christopher V. Olds

Christopher V. Olds, 36, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at Piedmont Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am EDT Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Smith Station Baptist Church with Pastor David Kees officiating. Interment will be private at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the Vance Memorial Chapel.

Chris was born June 8, 1982 in Columbus, GA, to Vernon Olds and Faye Stroud Olds. He earned a master’s degree in accounting on his way to becoming a licensed CPA working for AFLAC doing investment accounting. He was a member of Smith Station Baptist Church and never wavered in his faith in Jesus.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Karen Olds; three children, Mitchell, Ethan and Emma; parents Vernon and Faye Olds; brother, Matt Olds and wife Sandra; nephews, Gaige, Nick and Will and Will’s son Tanner; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and many caring friends.
