Christy Joyce Spence

Christy Joyce Spence, 47 of Phenix City, AL, formerly of Box Springs, GA, died at Piedmont Columbus Midtown, Columbus, GA on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, with her family by her side.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 02, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM (EST) at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Christy was born on December 17, 1977, daughter of the late Jack Sizemore and Renee Schaaf Brown. She was a manager with CiCi’s Pizza in Columbus, GA. Christy was a hard-working lady who always put her best foot forward.

We will remember her as a loving and caring mother who was proud of her children and their accomplishments. She loved her children, but her grandchildren even more. Christy had the biggest heart and would do anything and everything she could for anyone. We will miss her in our daily routine, especially the constant chewing of ice, but this is just one of the many fond memories we will forever cherish.

Christy was preceded in death by her father, Jack Sizemore and mother and stepfather, Renee and James Dorsey Brown.

Survivors include her boyfriend Chuck Myrick and two children, Adrianna Bailey (Greggory), Phenix City, AL and Austin Spence, Troy, AL; stepdaughter, MacKenzie Myrick; five precious grandchildren, Dawson, Henley, Oakleigh, Kannon and Kingston and numerous other family members and friends.
