Connie Bailey

Connie Marie McManus Bailey, 61, of Smiths Station, AL died at her home on Thursday, March 31, 2022 with her family by her side.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 4, 2022 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. with Bro. Steve Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bailey was born February 24, 1961 in Altus, OK daughter of the late Carl Jackson McManus and Mary Bovene Langley McManus. She was a homemaker. Connie loved a good joke and enjoyed laughing. She found enjoyment in the simple things in life, like volunteering with her husband James at the Senior Center.   They loved to play Bingo, do puzzles and other fun things with the friends they made there. Connie will be remembered as a kind and gentle person who found no fault in others. She will be missed greatly.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, James Bailey, Smiths Station, AL; their son, Bobby Bailey of Smiths Station, AL; two sisters, Christi Baughman (Sam) and Cheryl Marks; one brother, Victor McManus (Jo); several nieces, nephews and friends.
