Danny “Dan” Ray Tew

Danny “Dan” Ray Tew, 68, of Columbus, GA passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown.

Dan was born on August 25, 1954 in Bad Cannstatt, Germany to Huey Tew and Genie Almon Tew. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines and in the following years worked as a Transmission Technician at AAMCO. Dan was a dedicated family man who loved and cared for his wife and his girls. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and great-grandson and enjoyed it whenever the family could get together. Dan will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but he has a special place in their hearts forever.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include loving and devoted wife Linda Tew; daughters Terrie Wood (Charlie Myers) of Cusseta, GA, Misty Tew (Brian Steele) of Columbus, GA, and Kelly Galbraith (Joseph) of Pensacola, FL; brothers David Tew (Debbie) and Dewey Tew; grandchildren Tara Lassen, John Michael, Jr., Joseph Galbraith, Amanda Myers, and Jacob Myers; and great-grandson John Michael Lassen III.
