Demaris "Gayle" Anderson

Demaris Gayle Anderson, 76, of Phenix City, Al, passed away peacefully in her home on November 19, 2025. Services will be announced at a later date.

Gayle Anderson, born April 24, 1949, to parents James R. Tabb and Dorothy H. Tabb in Columbus, GA. The family moved to Phenix City in 1968, where she lived until her passing. She loved caring for her flowers, both in her garden and inside her home. She took great pride in her cooking and in growing plants. Most of all, Gayle loved her family. She spent time with them as often as she could. She also loved her pets dearly. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Gayle is preceded in death by her husband, William Gary Anderson; parents, James R. Tabb and Dorothy Houghton Tabb; and her brother, James R. Tabb, Jr.

Survivors include her two sons, Jason Wayne Boulware and wife Karen Oliver of Phenix City, AL, and Rodney Dewayne Tabb and wife Tania Lynn Tabb of Phenix City; grandchildren, Jessica Horton, Kaleb Boulware, and Matthew Tabb; great-grandchild, Kylie Kernels; nieces, Lisa Charlene Tabb of LaGrange, Ga, Cathy Robbins, and Kimberly Fryer; and nephews Kevin Robbins, Jeff Fryer, and Reese Boulware Jr.
