Donald “Donny” Earl Ward

Donald Earl Ward, 65, of Columbus, GA passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Thursday, January 13, 2022 beginning at 1:00 PM. The interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In keeping with efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, facemasks and social distancing will be encouraged.

Donny was born on May 30, 1956 in Columbus, GA to Mary Cunningham Ward and the late Charley Earl Ward. He worked throughout Columbus as a self-employed painter. Donny was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching wrestling, NASCAR, and his favorite football team the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also liked to go deer hunting. Donny was Assembly of God by faith.

Other than his father, Donny is preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Brock.

Survivors include his mother Mary Owens; nieces Amy Reene Brock, Tammy Brock and Heather Brock; aunts and uncles; and stepbrother Randy Outlaw.
