Dorothy Ann Eiland, 77, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2022, in Boaz, Alabama, while surrounded by her loving family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM EST on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, with Rev. Ricky Ward officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Eiland was born in Columbus, Georgia, the daughter of William P. Williamson and Clara Jinright Williamson. She lived her whole life in Phenix City, AL. She spent most of her life as a housewife and being a loving mother to her children. She enjoyed painting and bowling. Ann was also an avid ice skater in her younger days. She was also known to ride horses bareback every time the opportunity presented itself. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Eiland was preceded in death by her sister Janice Parker and son Gary Eiland.
Left to cherish her memory are three daughters Kathy Jones of Phenix City, AL, Gwyn Kelley and husband John of Boaz, AL and Denise Copeland and husband Jim of Phenix City, AL; three sons Dewayne Eiland and wife Angela of Phenix City, AL, Bobby Eiland and wife Toni of Phenix City, AL and Lyn Eiland and wife Michelle of Salem, AL; two sisters Marie McNeal of Richmond Hill, GA and Patty Brown of Smith Station, AL; twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.
The family wishes to say a sincere “Thank You” to the Enhabit Hospice team for the care and compassion shown to their mother.
