Elaine Johnson Brush

Elaine Johnson Brush, 77, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm EST, on Monday, July 10, 2017, at Vance Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Brush was born on September 9, 1939, daughter of the late Henry and Irma Johnson.  She was a long time member of Bethany Baptist Church, and a 38 year employee at Bell South.

Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, the love of her life, Donald Lee Brush; brothers, Henry Johnson, Jr., William Massey Johnson and Troy Johnson; sister, Jeanette Waters.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Dianne Brown and John of Peachtree City, GA; son, Ronald Stephen Brush and Kimberly of Phenix City, AL; grandsons, Matthew Lee Brown of Savannah, GA and Adam Johnathon Brown of Tuscaloosa, AL; sister, Marie Walker and Floyd of Chesapeake, VA; many other extended family and friends.
