Elizabeth Kinzel Letlow

Elizabeth Kinzel Letlow, 94, of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on August 22, 2022, at her residence, while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Ward officiating. An interment at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM EST Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Ms. Letlow was born in Grunau, Germany the daughter of the late Paul Brauer and Ina Kinzel. She met her late husband Joseph Robert Letlow, Sr., while he was stationed in Germany with the United States Army. After their courtship, the two were married and she moved back to the United States with her husband. Ms. Letlow loved camping with her family and never missed an opportunity to visit relatives and friends. She was a member of Seale Baptist Church and attended regularly until her health declined. Ms. Letlow retired from Sunshine Biscuit Cookie Company as a Packer. Above all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish Ms. Letlow’s memory is a son Joseph Robert Letlow, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren Keisha Richburg and husband Jimmy, Andria Skinner, Brian Hughes and Johnathan Rathbun and wife Rachel; great grandchildren Andrew Washington, Corey Richburg and Sarah Richburg and numerous close friends and extended family.
