Mrs. Britton was born August 18, 1954 in Wildwood, GA daughter of the late Arville Willies Mooneyham and Edna McGlaughn Mooneyham. A short story of why she was born in Wildwood, GA. Her mother and dad were traveling when her mother went into labor. Her dad was a hardworking man who could not read and not being familiar with the area, he just followed the blue “H” signs for hospital. It turns out the hospital was a mental ward; however, they delivered the baby. Probably a 1st for them. Mrs. Britton went on to live a full and happy life. She loved to listen to Reba McIntire and knew most her songs by heart. Her world however revolved around her family, especially the grandchildren and their sports activities. We will miss her cheers on game day, but we know she will be with us in spirit.
Mrs. Britton was preceded in death by her parents, Arville and Edna Mooneyham, her husband, Mike Britton; two brothers, Jimmie McGlaughn (Vonnie) and Bobby McGlaughn.
Survivors include her son, James “Jimmy” Britton (Letisha) and daughter, Darlene Britton; four siblings, Arville Lee Mooneyham (Jackie), Nancy Smith (Bret), Judy Mooneyham (Mike Friend); seven grandchildren, Colton, Carson, Cayden, Spencer, Kylee, Hudson and Kennadi; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
