Frances Louise Griffin, 85, of Phenix City, Al, passed away peacefully in her home on December 8, 2025, with her daughter, Taralane, and son-in-law by her side. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.

Frances Griffin was born on September 8, 1940, in Crandall, MS, to the late Rex and Lola Manley. Frances was passionate about her business, Bama Kawasaki, acting as the bookkeeper and manager until retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed donating her time to helping the elderly at the Activities Center and helping anywhere she could with the church. She was a member of Golden Acres and held her faith above all else. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Veterans Administration. Frances loved her family and spent as much time as she could with them. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Frances Louise Griffin is preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Allen G. Griffin, Sr.; son, Allen G. Griffin, Jr.; parents, Rex Manley and Lola Kathryn Manley; and brothers, Maruice Manley, Larry Manley, and Rexton Manley.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Taralane Hammond (Jason) of Phenix City, Al, and Francine Herko (Donald) of Overland Park, KS; sisters-in-law, Carol Manley of Pennington, Al, and Susan Manley of Mobile, Al; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

The family extends a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice and staff for the special care of their mom. Memorial donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice in lieu of flowers.
