Surrounded by those who love him most, Glen Jackson Martin passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. His kindness, sense of humor, and gentle love for his family will forever bring us comfort.

A visitation will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL 36867, on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1:00 pm est. A graveside service will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm est.

Glen Martin was born March 3, 1962, in Phenix City, AL. After the passing of his mother at age 3, he was adopted by his beloved grandparents, Henry Grady Jackson and Maggie Armstrong Jackson. Glen was a talented athlete from a young age, playing both football and basketball throughout his school years. In his senior football season, he earned the title Most Valuable Player. His love of sports continued well beyond high school, for more than 25 years he played in Golden Acres’s softball league where he was known as an outstanding player and ‘fast as lightning.’

At 21, Glen married Cindy Martin at Golden Acres Baptist Church. Together they made their home in Phenix City, Alabama where they raised two wonderful daughters, Stephanie and Brianne. Glen shared a special bond with his in-laws, whom he lovingly came to know as “Mom” and “Dad.”

Glen was accomplished in warehouse management, a career that reflected his dedication and reliability. Away from work, he was happiest outdoors – fishing, tending a fire, mowing the lawn, grilling, or riding four-wheelers. He loved sharing those simple pleasures with his daughters, teaching them to appreciate the peace and happiness that came from being outside. Those who knew Glen will never forget his sense of humor and the joy he brought to every room, especially with his famous Donald Duck, Scooby-Doo, Marvin the Martian, Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions.

Glen Martin is preceded in death by his biological mother, Jacqueline Josephine Jackson; adoptive parents and grandparents, Henry and Maggie Jackson; sister, Linda Clark (Tommy); brother, Steve Martin; and beloved aunts and uncles who were a part of the village who raised him.

Glen is survived by his life partner, Cindy M. Martin; daughters, Stephanie Boan (Will) and Brianne Elliott (Christian); brother, Mike Martin; sister-in-law, Joy Martin; grandchildren, Kennadi Boan, Lyncoln Boan, and Cohen Elliott; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
