Mrs. Glenda Mixon Osborne, 89, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at The Oaks at Grove Park in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm EST Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Dr. David White and Rev. Dan Elkins officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 pm EST, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Osborne was born July 9, 1935 in Colquitt County, GA, daughter of the late Ernest E. Mixon and Myrtle Argo Mixon Massey. She worked in the medical records department at both Cobb Hospital and Martin Army Hospital. Mrs. Osborne was a member of the Retired Officers Association and established the cell phones for soldiers program, a member of the Retired Officers Wives Association, a volunteer at the American Red Cross, a member of the Wounded Warrior Project and a tour guide at the National Infantry Museum. Additionally, Mrs. Osborne was a long time member of Cascade Hills Church, where she served as a volunteer for many years.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Melvin Osborne; sisters, Sonia Addison and Beth Bennett; brothers, Randy Mixon, Larry Mixon and Dale Mixon.

She is survived by a daughter, Lori Baker White and husband David; a son, Tom Osborne and wife Mimi; a sister, Millie Kelly; a brother, Dwight Mixon and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Annie White (Monika), Justin Osborne, Jessica Osborne and Jennifer Osborne; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Oaks at Grove Park and Horizons Memory Care Unit.
