Gloria June Perkins

Gloria June Perkins, 67, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Monday afternoon, May 29, 2023, at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA while surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EDT Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm EDT prior to the service at the funeral home in Phenix City. A private interment will follow at 12:30 pm EDT on Monday June 5, 2023, at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
Ms. Perkins was born June 23, 1955, in Manama, Bahrain, daughter of the late Alexander and Lilian Edwards. She was a loving wife and mother who was devoted and dedicated to her husband and her family. She loved art painting, crafts, ceramics, photography, and gardening. She was a Christian by faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Gary Wayne Perkins.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Perkins and wife Marcie of Salem, AL, and Alex Perkins of New York City, NY; two sisters, Elizabeth Davidson and husband Jack of London, England, and Joy Baker and husband Keith of Hastings, England; and two brothers, Richard Edwards and wife Mahfoodha of Manama, Bahrain, and Thomas Edwards of Elizabethtown, KY; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many caring friends.
