Harriete L. Morton Sanders

Harriete Lavern Morton Sanders, 92, of Phenix City, AL died at Baptist Hospital in Louisville, KY on Monday, September 20, 2021.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM (EST) at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sanders was born July 28, 1929 in Phenix City, AL daughter of the late W. A. Morton and Katie Bell Gilbert Morton. She was a Practical Nurse by profession, but a homemaker by choice. A job she excelled at and enjoyed. Mrs. Sanders was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Phenix City, AL before moving to Louisville to be with her daughter.
Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee Roy Sanders, Sr.; a brother, Billy Lester Haywood Morton; three sisters, Juanita Morton James, Ruth Odessa Collier and Lucille Morton Clegg; two sons, Ron E. Sanders and Lee Roy Sanders, Jr.; one daughter, Danni Marie Sanders Phillips.
Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Ann Pottinger Osborne (Jerry), Phenix City, AL; one sister, Mary Ann Howard; two grandchildren, Amber Spence (Arturo Cordero) and Kody Spence (Nicole); seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
