Hazel C Fredrick

Hazel C. Fredrick, 90 of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, July 23, 2022 in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm EDT on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Pastor Robb Goodman officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Ms. Fredrick was born December 24, 1931 in Pike County, AL, daughter of the late Ira Crocker and Sidney Barnes Crocker.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family dearly.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, loved her pet dog Herman, and she was very gifted as a seamstress.  She was a faithful and longtime member of Summerville Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Fredrick was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Fredrick, Sr., two sisters, Mary Fritz, and Shelley “Sis” Justice, and one brother, Buddy Crocker.

She is survived by two sons, Ben Fredrick, Jr. and wife Sherry of Salem, AL, and Mark Fredrick of Phenix City, AL, brother, Donnie Crocker and wife Carol of Columbus, GA, three grandchildren, Benji Fredrick and wife Terry, Shelly Smith and husband Tim, and Will Fredrick and wife Amber, five great grandchildren, Travis, Andrew, Greyson, Watson, and Millie, many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and beloved church family.
