Henry “Jake” D. Jowers

Henry “Jake” Durwood Jowers, 45, of Phenix City, AL died while at Columbus Hospice House, Columbus, GA on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 PM (EST) on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL.

Mr. Jowers was born September 6, 1976 in Phenix City, AL son of the late Henry Merle Jowers and Ruthie Jean Jones Jowers. He was a Sheet Metal Worker by trade and worked for Hewitt Industrial for several years. Jake had such a gifted mind; he could create or repair anything and he loved to work with his hands. He left a void in our lives that will never be filled, but we will cherish and remember the good times we shared together.

Jake was preceded in death by his loving parents Henry and Ruthie Jowers; his paternal grandparents, J. D.  and Elsie Jowers; maternal grandparents, H. J. ”Jake” and Mary Frances Jones; an uncle and aunt, Thomas and Judy Howard, Sr.

Survivors include his two children, Courtlyn Jowers and Beau Jowers both of Columbus, GA; a brother, Jason Jowers (Colleen); uncle and aunt, Jerome and Ramona Richardson; cousins, Thomas Howard, Jr (Stacia), Joey Johnson (Jessie) and Josh Johnson; best friend, Jason Bucossi; several other family members and friends.
