Herman E. Moore, of Fortson, GA died at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown on Sunday September 3, 2023. The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Columbus, GA.
Herman was born October 17, 1943 in Moultrie, GA, son of the late John and Stella Moore (Jones). He served his country honorably for four years in the United States Army. Following his military service, he worked in banking and finance, for companies like Trust Company of Columbus and Great Southern Federal of Cumming, Ga. He finished his career in Opelika, financing cars for T.R. Motors until his retirement.
Herman was a diehard Georgia Bulldogs Fan and would want to say “Go Dawgs” first and foremost. He loved playing golf with his crew, playing poker with his friends, and playing with his dog, Rowdy. Herman will be remembered best as a man who loved to cut up and make people laugh and loved to have a good time. He will be greatly missed, but forever remembered fondly by those whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Linda Hughs Moore of Richland, GA, son Stephan “Brett” Moore of Columbus, GA, sister Polly Moore Gay, brothers Jimmie Moore and Hughey Moore, as well as many wonderful friends.
