Inman was born on April 20, 1941 in Columbus, GA to Floyd Avery Callihan and Mary Julia Callihan. He graduated from Harris County High School in 1959 and then attended Columbus College from 1960-1961 where he earned an Associate Degree. Afterwards, he transferred to the University of Georgia and in 1964 earned a Bachelors Degree. In the years that followed, he became self-employed, retiring after several years as a truck driver. Inman was a faithful member of Community Chapel in Pine Mountain Valley where he played the bass and taught Sunday School. He enjoyed traveling, riding with his motorcycle club, and playing music.

Throughout his life, Inman always made it his goal to be a blessing to others. His strong and unwavering faith in God, along with a true servant’s heart, made Inman an extraordinary man. He met and married the love of his life and his best friend, Pat, and together they raised a beautiful family. He always found his greatest joy when he spent time with his wife, daughter, and grandchildren. Inman will be greatly missed by his family, church family, and friends, but there is no doubt that he has left a legacy to be followed and the sweetest of memories to be cherished by all whose lives he touched.

Inman is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Mary Julia Callihan and infant sons Inman Avery Callihan and Jason Chadwick Callihan. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of over 58 years Pat Creel Callihan, daughter Dawn Watson and her husband Matt of Hamilton, GA, and grandchildren Hunter Nicole Watson and Peyton Matthew Watson.
