James Earl Wicker

James E. Wicker, 80, of Columbus, GA, passed away on April 9, 2026. James was born in Pike County, AL, on December 24, 1944, to the late Ben Wicker and Bertis Joan Harrell Wicker. After high school, James served in the United States Army until retirement. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. As he got older, he developed a hobby of collecting coins and knives. He also enjoyed relaxing at home with his two dogs, Goober and Suki. James will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, James Wicker is preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Dryden. He is survived by his daughters, Sherri McMillion and husband Larry, and Belinda Brewer and husband David; brother, Bobby Dryden and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Kristen Granberry (Chris), Tiffany Reaves, Brandon Hammock (Whitney), Alizabeth Rodriguez (Joseph), Kalee Durham (Grant), Hollie Horne (Shawn), Johnna Edridge (Joseph), and Hannah Frost; great-grandchildren, Skye Hammock, Carter Hammock, Cole Hammock, Javier Rodriguez, Orion Dickson, Hunter Durham, Joseph Durham, Harper Durham, Mason Durham, Masie Durham, Keagyn Parrish, Loghan Parrish, Oakleigh Parrish, Charleigh Parrish, Everlee Eldridge, Josie Eldridge, Easton Edridge, Cooper Eldridge, Shelby Cook, Tyler Granberry, Ayden Granberry, Emilee Granberry, and Brianna Faulk; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
