Janet Newsome

Janet Newsome, 55, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Columbus Hospice House after an extended battle with cancer.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm EDT, on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Lakeview Memory Gardens, with Reverend John Homer officiating. The family will receive friends at Vance Memorial Chapel from 1 until 2 on Saturday.

Mrs. Newsome was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Bonnie McMillan and a brother Steve McMillan.

She is survived by her loving husband Charlie Rufus Newsome and two sons David and Matthew Newsome; a brother, Wade McMillan; sister, Lisa Gilliland; 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 aunts and 2 uncles.
