Janice Johnston Brown

Janice Johnston Brown, 52, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Wednesday July 8, 2015 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm EDT Sunday, July12, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Greg Hydes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown was born July 11, 1962 in Sumter County, GA, daughter of Betty Heath Johnston and the late Walter C. Johnston. She was a School Nutritionist Manager in the Muscogee County School System and a faithful member of Ladonia Baptist Church. Other than her mother, she is survived by her husband Gregory Allen Brown of Phenix City, AL; a son, Garth Allen Brown of Phenix City, AL; three sisters, Joanna Johnston of Columbus, GA, Jeanne Wright and husband Jesse of Columbus, GA and Julie Brazier and husband Wesley of Richland, GA; mother and father-in-law, Johnny and Dale Brown of Phenix City, AL; sister-in-law Donna Brown of Phenix City, AL and many other extended family and caring friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you the staff at Columbus Hospice.
