Jeffery Wayne Johnson

Jeffery “Jeff” Wayne Johnson, 62, of Salem, Al, passed away on April 17, 2026. A celebration of life will be held at the home of Gary and Debbie Johnson, 1308 Lee Road 279, Salem, Al 36874, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm.

Jeff Johnson was born in Dublin, Ga, on September 28, 1963, to the late James Malcolm Johnson, Jr. and Shirley Louise Lawrence Johnson. After graduating high school, he became a fabricator, working at Cherokee Fabrications in Salem, Al for years. Jeff was a devoted husband to his late wife, Regina, and a supportive and caring father to his son, Cameron. He was very private and enjoyed being home or fishing. Jeff will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, James Malcolm Johnson, Jr. and Shirley Louise Lawrence Johnson; wife, Regina Lynn Ready Johnson; and brothers, Michael Ray Johnson and Robert Malcolm Johnson.

Jeff is survived by his son, Cameron Johnson and wife, Haley; brother, James Gary Johnson and wife Debbie; grandchild, Perry Katherine Johnson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
