Jeffrey Edward Carpenter

Jeffrey Edward Carpenter, 62, of Smith Station passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Panama City, FL.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 12 until 2 EST at Vance Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will follow on Saturday at Lakeview Memory Gardens at 2:30 pm EST with Reverend Grant Parker officiating.

Mr. Carpenter was born in Columbus, GA to Helen Jackson Carpenter Daniel and the late Richard Edward Carpenter. Jeff was a great athlete, playing and lettering in every sport in high school and continued being active by playing golf. He was a college football fan and loved the Auburn Tigers. He was also a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Amy Carpenter Lawson and husband Jamie; loving companion, Kathy Funderburke; mother, Helen Jackson Daniel; grandchildren, Stewart Cole Lawson and wife Samantha, Abbey Helena Lawson, and Trent House; brother, Richard G. Carpenter and wife Peggy; two nephews and other extended family.
