Jesse Duraso was born on August 28, 1957, to the late John F. Duraso and Ella Mae Jenkins. After high school, Jesse became an electrician and most recently worked for H&G Electric Company. He was passionate about the organizations he was a part of, including being an Alcazar Shriner since May 10, 1980, Master Mason at Crawford Lodge, and a part of the Phenix City Moose Lodge. He dedicated significant time to these non-profit organizations, which also allowed him to meet new people and socialize. Jesse never met a stranger and loved to get to know people. He appreciated a good joke and loved having a good time. Jesse enjoyed the beauty nature had to offer and would hunt, fish, and embrace the outdoors. When he got the chance, he would enjoy traveling to the beach with his late wife, family and friends. He also enjoyed Alabama Football and Dale Earnhart, but most of all he loved his family and friends. He was an outgoing, caring, and kind man. He was tough as nails and a bit intimidating, but he was a genuine and thoughtful one-of-a-kind man. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Jesse Duraso is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Duraso; parents, Ella Mae Jenkins and John F. Duraso; and stepfather, Henry B. Jenkins.
Jesse is survived by his children, Traci Davis (Chad), Kevin Duraso (Shannon); step-children, Tammy Sizemore, Jimmy “Jody” Sizemore, Jr., and Michael Sizemore; several half siblings; grandchildren, Taylor Duraso, Coleman Duraso (Lydia), Bailey Davis, Drake Davis, Dylan Davis, Tyler Steele, and Katie Mae Pittman; a very special aunt, Big Carol; uncles, Johnnie Pinkney (Diane) and Billy Pinkney (Carolyn); and numerous additional step-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
