Jimmie E. Carroll

Jimmie E. Carroll, 76, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ga.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm EST, on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Vance Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST, at the funeral home.

Mr. Carroll was born on April 14, 1938, in Columbus, GA, the son of Dallas and Nettie Mae Carroll. He served in the military for 6 years and enjoyed fishing, camping and raised pigeons. Mr. Carroll was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Elkins, three sisters and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Carroll, of Phenix City, AL; 4 children, Donna Hall, husband James of Seale, AL, Tammy Hall, Vicki McCall, and Dallas “Brad” Carroll, all of Phenix City, AL; 4 brothers, Mack Carroll, wife Estelle of Columbus, GA, Ralph Carroll, wife Carol of Fortson, GA, Sammy Carroll, wife Marsha of Pittsview, AL, and William Carroll, wife Debra of Bleeker, AL; 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Elhard, Tyler Jones, Tiffany Price, Megan McCall, Josh McCall, Trevor Hall, Khloe Carroll, and Addison McCall; 14 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends.
