Joan Carden Moore

Mrs. Joan Carden Moore , 69, of Columbus, GA passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 pm Saturday afternoon, January 13, 2024 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Columbus, GA.  

Mrs. Moore was born December 15, 1954 in Ft. Benning, GA, daughter of the late Frederick Jefferson Carden and Catherine Phelps Carden.  She worked as a nurse for many years, first at the Medical Center and later as a private caregiver.  Mrs. Moore loved dogs, especially the German Shepherds she raised with her husband.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family.  Mrs. Moore was Church of Christ by faith.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mary Catherine
Adair.

Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Danny Moore of Columbus, GA; three daughters, Misty Michelle Hall and husband Gavin of Mauk, GA, Rachel Moore and husband Tommy of Columbus, GA, and Tiffany Hollis of Columbus, GA; two sisters, Janice Lingo of Savan nah, GA and Rita Hunt and husband Larry of Perry, GA; grandchildren, Amani Moore, Alyssia Moore (Bullet), Serenity Jackson, Lauren Garrett, Zachery Figueroa, Lacovia Jones, Rochelle Hollis, Danny Ryles, Jerrard Palmer, Jr. and Jermauree Palmer ; great-grandchildren, Jason, Leland, Sawyer, Levi, Ethan, Lucas, Waylon, JaDan, Kaison, Tyler and Tyrin; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
