Joseph Dean Olds

Mr. Joseph Dean Olds, 90, of Columbus, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the Columbus Hospice House.

 A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 5, 2024 in the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum at Parkhill Cemetery .  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm in the mausoleum chapel. 

 Mr. Olds was born July 22, 1933 in Louisville, AL, son of the late Andrew Daniel Olds and Ruth Elizabeth Bradley Olds.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Olds retired from the Civil Service but worked the majority of his career in the automotive industry at Rustin Oldsmobile as a Service Manager.   Working in the automotive industry for many years, he had a passion for cars and watching NASCAR.  Mr. Olds also enjoyed Alabama football, the Atlanta Braves and listening to country music.

 Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shelley V. Olds, a daughter, Carla Wojtecki, a brother, Alpheus Olds and a sister, Jeanette Dawson.

 Mr. Olds is survived by a daughter, Susan Olds Kiker and husband Kenny of Columbus, GA; a son, Jerry Morgan and wife Sonja of Enterprise, AL; a sister, Jean Pender of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Jared Kiker, Clark Vardman, Denise Ingle (John), Jennifer Bowers (Rick), Stephanie Powell(Will), Misty Moore (Rick), and Ashley Keeley (Jim); son-in-law Jerry Wojtecki; as well as other extended family and friends.
