Juanita Jones

Alma Juanita Jones, 70, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Piedmont Columbus Regional – Midtown in Columbus, Georgia.
A Celebration of Juanita’s life will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 N, Phenix City, AL, Monday, August 30, 2021, at 2:00 EST, with Reverend Norman Garrison officiating, The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home. A private Interment will follow the Service.

Mrs. Jones was born on December 28, 1950, in Troy, Alabama, the daughter of Joe Wilson and Aver Green Wilson. She was a self-employed businesswoman for many years. Juanita was an Ordained Minister. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at Fellowship Assembly of God in Smiths Station, AL. She lived her life for the Lord and loved her family dearly. Juanita enjoyed traveling, swimming, and laughing with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed collecting coffee mugs and angels from her travels. Juanita was a very strong, professional businesswoman who taught her children and grandchildren good work ethic and strong Christian values.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Wilson; mother, Aver Wilson; two brothers, Howell “Buck” Wilson and Chester Wilson; son, Jerrell “Tony” Jones; and great-granddaughter, Ravenna Prins.

She is survived by her adoring husband of 52 years, Reverend Harold Jones; daughter, Donna Day(Michael Edmonds); daughter in-law, Kim Jones; son, Donnie Jones; three brothers, Louie Wilson, Roy (Alice) Wilson, and Levi Wilson; five granddaughters, Brooke Winfree (Stephen); Mallory (Trey), Alex, Ava, and Natalie, nine grandsons, Scott Prins Jr. (Tuzday), Shane, Trey (Gracie), Ethan, Dylan, Garrett (Amanda), Dayton, Kenneth and Colton; five great-grandsons, Lawson, Les, Cameron, Grady, and Heath; two great-granddaughters, Anniston and Hallynn; as well as several extended family and caring friends.
