Judith Helen Hunley

Judith Helen Hunley, 82, of Salem, AL passed away Monday morning, October 30, 2023, in the comfort of her sons’ home in Gulf Shores, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm EST on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Dr. David Kees officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm EST at the funeral home in Phenix City.
Mrs. Hunley was born November 26, 1940, in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Johnny Thomas Ferrell and Dorothy Helen Madden Ferrell. She was employed by Atmos Energy Gas Company with many years of faithful and loyal service and was retired. She was devoted in helping with the Outreach Program at Smiths Station Baptist Church along with many other extended programs at the church and the surrounding community. She was a Christian and a longtime member of Smiths Station Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Larry H. Hunley of Salem, AL; children, Earl Sullivan and wife Sandy of Gulf Shores, AL, Dorothy Stanfield and husband Audie of Smiths Station, AL, loved as a daughter and niece, Linda Smith of Smiths Station, AL; one sister, Ginger Harden of Graham, TX; three brothers, Larry Ferrell of Smiths Station, AL, Chuck Ferrell and wife Bonnie of Auburn, AL, and Bobby Gunter and wife Faith of Salem, AL; 23 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and many caring friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Smiths Station Baptist Church Building Program.
