Katherine Amerson Niles

Katherine Amerson Niles, age 82, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Friday, August 26, 2022, 1 pm with Reverend Scott Keppel officiating. Private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 6 pm to 8pm.
Mrs. Niles, daughter of the late Lonnie Amerson and Ruby Waldrup Amerson was born April 8, 1940 in Muscogee County, Georgia. She was retired from Eagle Phenix Mill where she faithfully worked for over 15 years. She was a member of New Testament Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing with family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Niles; son, Jimmy Earl Niles; three sisters; and four brothers.
Mrs. Niles is survived by her husband of 65 years, Marvin Niles of Phenix City; three sons, Billy Niles and his wife Jeanett, David Niles, and Michael Niles, all of Phenix City; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
